World Vision is the world's leading child sponsorship organization. It helps the world's poorest children to grow up. It is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. It is present in nearly 100 countries around the world.
World Vision wanted to completely redesign the website with new web development while deploying the latest technological trends and advanced features.
The main goal for the new design was to make the sponsorship funnel easier and more visually engaging both from UI/UX ends. The client was also aimed to improve the overall user experience through beautiful images, good and latest typography trends, and a user-friendly 960 grid framework.
The site was outdated both visually and technically that made it challenging to maintain the online presence of the organization. Also, the organization was losing new sponsors during the long and complicated sign-up process and fewer security features. And that is the reason, it was challenging for us to simplify the sign-up process for existing users as well as new users who visit the site for making donations securely.
We have followed strict guidelines to gain a better understanding of what we could do from a UI/UX perspective. We worked with quite a range of different time zones and accents. The platform for the site would be Drupal 7. There were a lot of pages involved: multiple steps of the sponsorship funnel, donation center pages, and several variations of generic subpages. In the development, we have worked on the backend, content management system, registration process as well as payment gateway. Apart from designing and development, CIS has also handled its SEO and still delivering better results and rankings.
Now, World Vision is rebuilding many lives through this intuitive website. Each dollar donated to World Vision is more than a dollar’s worth of help gets to kids and families. In 2020, they used 88% of their total operating expenses for programs that benefit children, families, and communities. Now, with the increased reach and visibility through the website, they are helping more than 3.5 million children in nearly 100 countries.
